Video script generator
Say what the video is about. An outline comes back in beats, free and with nothing to sign up for.
An outline is worth having. A word-for-word script from one line is not.
The hard part of a script is the order, and that is what this gives you. Knowing what to say second, and what has to be established before the thing you actually want to say lands — that is the work, and it is the work an empty page makes impossible to start. An outline in beats can be argued with. A blank document cannot.
Read from a full script and people can hear it. Written sentences and spoken ones are not the same shape: the written ones are longer, better organised and completely flat out loud. Every presenter who has read a generated script to camera has discovered this in the edit. Speak from the beats instead and the words arrive in your own rhythm, which is the only version anybody watches.
The first beat is the one to rewrite. Whatever comes back, the opening is a generic version of your opening, because a model was given a sentence and you have the whole video in your head. The rest of the outline can often stand; the hook almost never can, and it is the beat that decides whether the others are seen at all.
Four ways to arrange a video that are not "intro, content, outro"
What the generator is reaching for. Worth knowing so you can tell it which one you want.
Open on the end
Show the result first, then go back and explain how it was reached. It costs nothing and it converts the whole video into a question the viewer wants answered.
The wrong way first
Do the obvious thing, let it fail, then do the thing that works. It earns the explanation, and it stops the video sounding like advice from somebody who never made the mistake.
One question, three answers
State the question in the first ten seconds and answer it three ways, worst to best. The structure tells the viewer how long this will take, which is most of why they stay.
Something at stake
A constraint — a budget, a deadline, one attempt — turns a demonstration into an outcome. It is the difference between watching somebody cook and watching whether the dish works.
The generator is free. What we sell is downstairs.
InTheClips reads a long recording and finds the parts worth cutting. Upload a file or paste a YouTube address, the whole thing is transcribed, and every passage worth posting comes back as a ranked proposal — four scores, its timecodes and the sentences behind it. Nothing is rendered until you approve it, and nothing is ever published on your behalf.
Which is the other half of this page, if you make long videos. A script gets the recording made. What happens to it afterwards — the three minutes of it that could travel on their own — is a second job, and it is the one this product exists for.
Questions
Does it write the whole script, word for word?
No, and that is deliberate rather than a limitation being excused. It writes the beats in order — the shape of the video — because that is the part a model can do usefully from one line of context and the part that is hardest to start. A full narration written from the same line reads exactly like what it is when spoken out loud.
Is it free, and is there a catch?
Free, with no account and no email. This page exists to introduce a paid product further down — a tool that reads a long recording and finds the clips in it. The generator costs us a fraction of a cent per press, which is why it can be given away without asking for anything first.
Can I say how long the video should be?
Yes, and it is worth doing. Put it in the same sentence — "about three minutes", "a ten-minute explainer" — and the number of beats changes to match. Without it you tend to get a shape sized for whatever the model assumes, which is usually somewhere around five minutes.
Will it work for a language other than English?
Write the topic in the language you want the outline in and it answers in that language. It is the same instruction that governs every generator on this site.
Do you keep what I type?
The line is sent to a model to produce the answer and is not stored against you — there is no account here to store it against. As anywhere, do not paste anything confidential into a free box on the internet.
The other free ones
Same idea, same box, no account on any of them.
